Northampton Town's Sam Walker hails Aidy Boothroyd impact
Northampton Town goalkeeper Sam Walker says that new manager Aidy Boothroyd has lifted a team which had "no confidence".
The Cobblers entertain Crewe Alexandra at Sixfields in Boothroyd's first match in charge.
Walker told 91热爆 Look East: "We were shot to pieces with two horrific losses which left the team in the gutter.
"We were a team that had no confidence at all. We needed someone like the new gaffer to build us back up."
He added: "Losing and , and , doesn't look good on any of us.
"But you pick yourselves back up and what's happened has happened."
Boothroyd has offered the Northampton team, currently 21st in League Two, .
"He's very certain in his ways and he knows exactly what he wants us to do," added Walker.
"I think a bit of organisation is what we needed and players to know exactly what they're doing. But it's on the Saturday when it counts.
"It's a big game for us and, speaking on behalf of the players, we're massively looking forward to it. It's a game to kick off a big month for us, with three home games that are winnable."
