Southport's Godfrey Poku keen to extend loan deal
Southport's on-loan midfielder Godfrey Poku says he is open to extending his stay at Haig Avenue until the end of the season.
Poku, 21, has been in impressive form .
"If Luton say I can come back, I wouldn't think twice and I'd come back until the end of the season," Poku told .
"I'd love to continue playing for Southport because I'm happy here and enjoying my time."
Poku arrived at the Sandgrounders along with striker Dan Walker as part of the deal which saw John Paul Kissock move to Kenilworth Road just a few weeks into the season.
Both players settled immediately, and Poku admits he is thankful to the club for giving him the opportunity to play first team football.
"I just want to play football whether it's at Luton or Southport," Poku continued. "But I'll have to weigh up the options and see if Luton want me back because that is my club.
"I'm very happy at the moment playing for Southport. This club has helped me and hopefully I can stay here and do more.
"The lads and the staff have made me happy. Playing football is what I want to do and at Luton I didn't play many games.
"Thankfully I've come here and done really well."
