Preston manager Phil Brown says he is looking to strengthen his squad in the loan market after first-choice goalkeeper Iain Turner broke his foot.

The 27-year-old suffered the injury in training weeks after returning to action following a broken toe.

Brown told 91热爆 Radio Lancashire: "It was purely a training ground accident and he's possibly going to be out for another month if not longer.

"Unfortunately we're now looking at bringing a goalkeeper in."

Brown continued: "He will compete for a place with Andreas Arestidou. We are looking to bring a striker in to provide a little bit of help for Juvhel Tsoumou before the other boys [Neil Mellor, Iain Hume and Jamie Proctor] come back."

Arestidou, 21, is set to return to the North End line-up at Charlton this weekend and Brown says he has earned the right to get the nod after impressing in a seven-match run earlier in the campaign.

He said: "I now class him as a number one. Prior to that I couldn't have said that.

"He never played a game last season in the Championship and was always either on the bench or third choice.

"It's been a steep learning curve for Andreas, making seven appearances this season and doing very well."
