Rochdale sign Dean Holden & Chesterfield sign Trotman

Rochdale have signed Dean Holden on loan from League One rivals Chesterfield and sent fellow defender Neal Trotman in the opposite direction.

Holden, 32, signed a and has made 16 appearances this season, scoring once.

Trotman, 24, only joined Rochdale in the summer after leaving Preston and has played 14 times for Dale.

Both loans last until 3 January, when the window for permanent transfers will be open.
