Bournemouth sign Wes Fogden on loan from Havant & Waterlooville
Bournemouth have completed the loan signing of Wes Fogden from Havant & Waterlooville with a view to sealing a permanent deal in January.
Fogden, 23, started as a trainee at Brighton, where he overcame a cancer scare that threatened his career, but only made four appearance for them.
The forward said he was delighted to return to playing league football.
"This is massively important for me, it is always where I wanted to be," Fogden told 91热爆 Radio Solent.
Fogden, who will wear the number 12 shirt for the Cherries, is in line to make his debut against Rochdale on Saturday but it may be from off the bench.
"I'm really pleased to get back here at this level," added Fogden.
"It is a big jump for me. I was only young when I made my few appearances for Brighton and the pace was a lot quicker so hopefully I can just adapt as soon as I can."
Cherries boss Lee Bradbury is equally as pleased to have captured the signing of Fogden.
"Wes is a young prospect, who has a good grounding from his time at Brighton," said Bradbury.
"He can play on either wing and can also play up front or in behind the strikers," he told 91热爆 Radio Solent.
"He's well thought of in the non-league circuit, and I saw it as a good opportunity to get him down here and integrate him into our squad."
