Neil Kilkenny braced for Leeds return with Bristol City
Bristol City's Neil Kilkenny believes he will get a mixed response when he returns to face Leeds on Saturday.
The 25-year-old Australia international to join Keith Millen's side on a three-year contract.
"I played there for three years so I've not got anything to prove," the midfielder told 91热爆 Radio Bristol.
"I think I should get a good response from the crowd but maybe not from the director's box."
for 拢150,000 from Birmingham City on a three-and-a-half year contract.
He made 144 appearances during his time at the club but rejected the offer of a new deal to move to Bristol.
Both teams have had a mixed start to the Championship season - Millen's side have won just one game and sit 22nd while Simon Grayson's Leeds are 13th with two victories.
"Everyone knows they've got a lot of pressure on them from the fans and the chairman [Ken Bates]. He thinks they should be in the play-offs all the time," he added.
"There are only five players left from the starting line-up that played with me last year so they might not be playing as well."
And Millen believes Kilkenny's prior knowledge of his former team could help them get a result.
"I'm sure he's looking forward to it, he's got the sort of personality that would thrive in the situation," said Millen.
"Even though I'm sure their fans appreciate what he did for them, they'll be giving him some stick.
"I had a chat with him, to tell him how I see it and ask if I was missing out and if there was anything he didn't agree with, so I've picked his brains on it."
