Stags sign striker Matt Green and defender Joe Kendrick
Mansfield Town have made two signings in one day by bringing in striker Matt Green on loan from Oxford United and free agent defender Joe Kendrick.
Supporters' fundraising group The 12th Stag assisted with both signings by donating 拢3,400 towards Kendrick's wages and a further 拢2,000 for Green.
Kendrick, 28, who has signed a one-year deal, added: "It shows what supporters are about and what they mean to a club.
"I thank them and hope to repay their faith. It's a nice gesture."
Manager Paul Cox still has approximately 拢16,500 at his disposal to help fund further new signings generated by funds from the 12th Stag, who previously helped with the signings of strikers Paul Connor and Luke Medley.
Green, 24, started his professional career at Newport County and has since played for Cardiff City, Torquay United and Cheltenham Town, along with three separate spells at Oxford.
Having signed until the end of December, he becomes Cox's 15th signing of the summer.
"I will be relentless in my workrate," said Green, who has signed until the end of December. "And I am hoping this move will be successful.
"I know Rhys Day and Adam Murray from Oxford and worked well with both of them in the past. They are happy with things at the club and that means a lot."
Dublin-born former Darlington full-back Kendrick rejected an offer from another Blue Square Bet Premier club to come to Field Mill.
He impressed at left-back in Mansfield's Tuesday's friendly at home to Doncaster Rovers, when the Stags lost 1-0.
