Doncaster Rovers extend James Coppinger's contract

Doncaster Rovers have extended the contract of midfielder James Coppinger until 2014.

Coppinger, who is Doncaster Rovers longest serving player, has been at the club since joining from Exeter City in June 2004.

He has started 250 games for the team, scoring 35 goals.

Despite interest from other Championship sides, including Ipswich Town, he has said he is happy to stay at the club.

In June, Coppinger told : "I can't wait to get back and I'm looking forward to next season."
