Wycombe boss Waddock vows to nurture Jordon Ibe

Wycombe Wanderers boss Gary Waddock has pledged to "nurture" teenage attacking prospect Jordon Ibe.

The 15-year-old youth team product, who has attracted , has featured heavily in the Chairboys' pre-season schedule.

"He looks a prospect but there's a lot of young players in the past who have potential and talent at that age," Waddock told

"You've got to make sure you nurture them in the right way, look after them, give them the recovery when they need it, put them in and take them out at the right time.

"Jordon is a very talented young player. He's trained with the first team during pre-season and he's fitted in very well, but we've got to look after him."

Meanwhile defender Dave Winfield has been given the all-clear after a scan revealed there was no serious damage to a knee injury he picked up against Palace.
