Goalkeeper David Grof signs one-year Walsall contract

Walsall have signed former Notts County goalkeeper David Grof on a one-year contract after he impressed during a trial spell.

The 22-year-old Hungarian began his career with Hibernian and in July 2010.

Grof had loan spells with and last season and helped the Stags to the final of the FA Trophy.

"David has impressed during the two weeks he has spent with us," Saddlers boss Dean Smith

"We have spoken to people who have coached and managed him and everyone has given him glowing reports.

"He had a good week in Scotland last week and has really settled in.

"He's young and hungry and we're hoping now he will push James Walker for the first-team jersey."
