Tranmere boss Les Parry says Dale Jennings has the talent to succeed at Bayern Munich after the teenager completed his move to Germany.

The 18-year-old forward signed for an undisclosed fee on Wednesday after just one season in the Rovers first team.

"He could be a Bayern Munich regular or he could struggle - it's in his hands," Parry told .

"He's got the ability and I told him to knuckle down and focus. If he does that, he's got half a chance."

He continued: "He obviously goes with my best wishes."

Jennings scored six goals in 32 appearances for Tranmere last season having broken into the first team in September.

Meanwhile, Parry has revealed he is looking to reinvest some of the money generated from the sale of Jennings.

The Tranmere manager says he has made an offer for at least one player, but admits they are struggling to reach an agreement.

"I got in touch with a manager at another North West club to make an offer for player," Parry said.

"Unfortunately what they're looking for is a bit more than we're able to offer.

"I think the chairman will, if the right player comes along at the right price, dip his hand in his pocket."
