Wales' David Vaughan completes move to Sunderland
Wales midfielder David Vaughan has completed a free transfer move to Sunderland.
The 28-year-old, who recently left Blackpool, has signed a three-year contract with the Wearsiders after completing a medical.
Vaughan was a regular for the Tangerines in the Premier League last season and was the club's player of the year.
The ex-Real Sociedad player had also been linked with West Bromwich Albion.
Following Blackpool's relegation to the Championship, Vaughan had spoken of his desire to remain in the Premier League.
In rejecting the Tangerines offer of a new contract, he had cited t.
"David was excellent throughout last season, including both games against us, so it's only natural that he caught the attention of a number of top clubs," said Sunderland manager Steve Bruce.
