Andrew Shinnie and Josh Meekings to join Inverness
Inverness Caledonian Thistle have agreed deals with midfielder Andrew Shinnie and central defender Josh Meekings after successful trials.
The 18-year-old Meekings was released by Ipswich, while 21-year-old Shinnie joins brother Graeme at Caledonian Stadium after exiting Rangers.
Caley Thistle manager Terry Butcher told his club website: "I've made offers and both have accepted.
"And the paperwork should be completed in the next few days."
Both players featured as Caley Thistle started their pre-season preparations with a 2-0 win over Inverness neighbours Clachnacuddin.
"Both have been training with us and have made an excellent impression in our pre-season friendlies," added Butcher.
Aberdeen-born Shinnie is a product of the Ibrox youth system and made his first-team debut in 2007.
But the Scotland Under-21 international failed to become a first-team regular with the Scottish champions and spent two spells on loan with Dundee in Division One before his release this summer.
Shinnie's 19-year-old defender brother, Graeme, came through the ranks at Inverness and is back to fitness after illness brought an end to a promising start to last season's campaign.
Meekings, born in Bury St Edmunds and who came through the ranks with Ipswich, had previously been on trial with Stevenage.
Butcher has already added to his squad by signing Gregory Tade after the forward left Raith Rovers and defender Tom Aldred on loan from Watford.
