Ivar Ingimarsson to leave Reading for Ipswich Town
Ipswich Town have completed a deal to sign Reading defender Ivar Ingimarsson on a one-year contract.
The 33-year-old Iceland international's Royals deal expired this summer and he has .
Ingimarsson spent almost eight years at Reading, having joined from Brighton in October 2003.
"We had a long chat, a good chat, it's agreed he's going to join us on the 1 July," Town boss Paul Jewell told 91热爆 Radio Suffolk.
"He's an experienced player, played 14 games for Reading last season, he's been promoted with Reading, played in the Premier League.
"He might not be the youngest but knowing the game at centre-half level is more important."
After starting his career Iceland Ingimarsson sealed a short loan spell with Torquay in 1999.
He went on to play for Brentford, Wolves and Brighton before embarking on a Reading career which took in 281 games, 72 of which were in the Premier League.
