Adam Reach revels in 'fantastic' debut
Middlesbrough debutant Adam Reach has revealed his delight at netting a debut goal in Saturday's 3-0 Championship win against Doncaster Rovers.
The 18-year-old utility man added an injury-time third to secure a top-half finish for the Teessiders.
"It's a pleasure just to come on the pitch, but to get a goal near the end was fantastic," Reach told 91热爆 Tees.
"I was shattered, but when Kevin Thomson got that ball, I just sprinted through and the tiredness went."
Reach added: "It's the biggest crowd I've ever played in front of, by miles, I was a bit nervous before I came on but the reception calmed me down a bit."
The Gateshead-born player, who joined the club's academy from Gateshead College in July 2010, was among eight home-grown players in the Boro squad for the game.
"With the likes of Cameron [Park], Ben Gibson, who wasn't in the squad today but was last week, it's brilliant to play with them.
"It gets your confidence up, calms you down a bit and makes you more confident when you play."
