Tamas Priskin is set to return to Ipswich Town from his loan spell at Championship rivals Swansea City as his season has been ended by a knee injury.

The Hungarian striker, who has scored once in four games for the Swans, will be out for up to six weeks after sustaining the injury in training.

"It probably means he will be going back to Ipswich," revealed Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers.

"It is unfortunate because he has been excellent since he has come here."

The 24-year-old was ineligible to play against his parent club on Saturday because of the terms of the loan agreement.

But Priskin would have missed Swansea's 4-1 victory after scans on Sunday confirmed the knee problem would prematurely curtail his season.

"It is a difficult situation for Tamas," added Rodgers.
