Chris Dent completed a career-best 268, his second first-class double century, as Gloucestershire cashed in on a flat wicket against Glamorgan.

Resuming on 102 overnight, Dent shared an eighth-wicket partnership of 168 with James Fuller (73) as the hosts surpassed Glamorgan's 433.

The 24-year-old was eventually last man out in a total of 558 as his side gained a lead of 125 at Nevil Road.

Glamorgan progressed to 88-0 in their second innings by the close of play.

Glamorgan trail by 37 runs going into the final day after Rudolph, who had flown back for the final game of the season from paternity leave, hit nine fours in an unbeaten half-century.

Dent's innings, which included 34 fours and two sixes, surpassed his previous career best 203 not out against Cardiff MCCU in April 2014. Fuller also made a career best in his 99-ball innings, which included eight fours.

Glamorgan fast bowler Michael Hogan told 91热爆 Wales Sport:

"Full credit to Chris Dent, he played a gem of an innings and was tough to get out on a good wicket. They batted well on a good wicket and hopefully we can do the same.

"It would have been disappointing if Jacques Rudolph had flown back for the last game and had two low scores. Hopefully he can go on and get a hundred and make his trip worthwhile, and James Kettleborough could get a first championship century.

"I don't think we'll be looking to win the game from the amount of time left in it but, if we can save it, maybe we could set up a cheeky little run-chase, you never know."
