County Championship: Arun Harinath hits century for Surrey
Arun Harinath struck 120 in his first appearance of the season to help Surrey to 289-6 on day one against Glamorgan.
Harinath is replacing Rory Burns, who is sidelined after an on-field collision with team-mate Moises Henriques in a T20 Blast game.
The 28-year-old shared an opening stand of 208 with Zafar Ansari (91 not out) before Glamorgan made inroads.
They took three wickets in three overs before Aneesh Kapil and Stuart Meaker fell late on.
Ansari remained obdurate and frustrated the Welsh side's bowlers throughout the entire day, facing 262 balls for his 91 runs.
He watched from the other end as Dominic Sibley and Ben Foakes were removed in quick succession by David Lloyd (2-40), before Graham Wagg (2-67) pinned Kapil and Meaker lbw in the closing overs.
Surrey batsman Arun Harinath told 91热爆 London 94.9:
"It was a lot of hard work early on and it paid off in the afternoon session. A couple of half chances went down and I'm there with 120.
"Credit to Glamorgan, they bowled well all day and they got themselves back in the day with the wickets at the end, but we've got batting to come and I think we can post a meaningful first innings score."
Glamorgan captain Jacques Rudolph told 91热爆 Radio Wales Sport:
"I said to the guys regardless of the wickets column, we've bowled really well. Zafar Ansari batted well but played and missed quite a few.
"We got the ball into the right areas, continued it into the third session and it paid off for us, so as far as the bowling this season is concerned that's potentially the best effort for me."
