Hampshire v Worcestershire: Day two rained off at Southampton
Hampshire's opening County Championship fixture with Worcestershire continues to be badly affected by the wet weather at Southampton.
After managing just 8.5 overs on the first day, no play was possible at all on day two.
Hampshire are scheduled to resume on 37-3 on Tuesday morning, when the weather is forecast to improve.
Worcestershire do at least have better prospects for their first Championship home game against Kent next week.
Despite the ground having been under water for two months over the winter, chief executive David Leatherdale is confident that New Road will be ready for the Kent game, starting this Sunday.
The club had entertained the idea of switching the game to Chester Road, Kidderminster, as they have done successfully in the past - and as they did for their pre-season home games.
