Mitch Claydon is hopeful he will be able to extend his loan spell at Kent from Durham.

The 30-year-old arrived on an initial month-long deal but Kent agreed an option to extend that if they wished.

Asked by 91热爆 Kent if he would like to stay the seamer said: "Absolutely, I'm really enjoying my time down here and if we can secure something I would like to do that.

"It's just month by month and if they want me I'll stay on."

Born in Australia but eligible to represent England, Claydon moved to county cricket in 2005, going on to spend two years at Yorkshire.

He joined Durham in 2007 and was part of the County Championship-winning side of 2009, but despite taking almost 200 wickets during his time at Chester-le-Street he has not appeared for the first XI this season.
