Ex-Ireland bowler Boyd Rankin called up for England ODIs
Former Ireland bowler Boyd Rankin has been added to the England squad for their remaining two one-day internationals against New Zealand.
Rankin, 28, has been in fine form for Warwickshire so far this season and is drafted in following injuries to Stuart Broad and Steven Finn.
The fast bowler has previously played for the England Lions.
Meanwhile, seven members of Australia's Ashes squad have been named in the Australia A team for the four-day game against Ireland at Stormont next month.
The Australian A squad will be captained by wicket-keeper Brad Haddin while Peter Siddle, Ryan Harris, Jackson Bird, James Pattinson, Usman Khawaja and Nathan Lyon are also included.
In all 10 members of the squad have played Test cricket for Australia.
Cricket Ireland announced on Friday that they have decided to waive any admission charge for the four-day match at Stormont as a thank-you to fans for their support during last Sunday's sell-out game against Pakistan.
Ireland coach Phil Simmons described the match as a "fantastic opportunity" for his players.
"They've named a very strong squad for the match and their fast bowling attack in particular looks very dangerous," said Simons.
"They're obviously looking to prepare well for the Ashes series and will be expecting Ireland to provide a tough challenge for them."
The Ireland squad will be selected after Saturday's Inter-Provincial Cup match between Leinster Lightning and the North West Warriors.
