Mark Wallace backs Glamorgan team in spite of consecutive losses
Glamorgan have given a vote of confidence to the squad that lost narrowly to Essex at the weekend for the LV County Championship Division Two match at Leicester starting on Tuesday.
The Welsh County are looking for their second four-day victory of the season after being edged out by five runs with seven balls remaining against Essex.
"We've been playing some really good cricket in the county championship," said captain Mark Wallace.
"We go to Leicester with confidence."
Glamorgan's head of elite performance Matthew Mott has stuck with the same 12 players who came within seven deliveries of claiming an unlikely draw against Essex.
And Wallace, who scored an unbeaten 118 in the 40-over match against Gloucestershire on Sunday, claims there are positive sings in spite of the two defeats in their last two County Championship games.
"What we have been doing has been very good," he said.
"We've been bowling very well - there's some signs with the bat that there's some people coming back into form, hopefully me being one of them.
"Yes, we've lost the last couple but we've been in a position in both formats of the game where we're playing good cricket.
"The guys have been playing very well, it's really competitive at the moment.
"Some of the guys we're having to leave out are really good cricketers and that just shows where we're going as a squad."
Glamorgan squad: WD Bragg, BJ Wright, SJ Walters, MJ North, MW Goodwin, J Allenby, MA Wallace (captain and wkt-keeper), GG Wagg, JC Glover, DA Cosker, MG Hogan, MT Reed.
