Solanki on form for Worcestershire against Somerset
Vikram Solanki scored an unbeaten 82 as Worcestershire's batsman excelled on the opening day against Somerset.
The hosts, still looking for the first win of the season, closed on 270-3 with three players making half-centuries.
Daryl Mitchell (80) and Australian Phil Hughes (53), in his first Championship game for Worcestershire, put on 100 for the first wicket.
Peter Trego (2-56) and Arul Suppiah (1-17) took the three wickets to fall on a tough day for third-placed Somerset.

91热爆 Hereford & Worcester's Dave Bradley:
"A day of the purists as Somerset stuck to their task on a hot and humid day that made it hard for Worcestershire.
"Hughes, after a century in the one-day game on Sunday, got past 50 again but struggled to time the ball on occasions.
"There was also a typical dogged effort from skipper Mitchell, as they put on a rare century opening stand.
"Solanki produced the best batting of the day with his usual flowing cover drives, while Trego put in a sterling effort for Somerset."
