Glamorgan recovery against Derbyshire led by North

Marcus North scored a half-century against his former club but Glamorgan posted a below-par total on day one at Derbyshire.

The visitors stumbled to 111-5, before North (79) and Mark Wallace (45) helped push the total to 236 all out and a first batting point of the season.

Jonathan Clare (3-45) took his Championship tally for the season to 23 wickets and Tim Groenewald took 3-34.

Derbyshire finished the day 214 runs behind on 22-0.
