Kent youngsters Ball and Bell-Drummond sign new deals

Kent teenagers Adam Ball and Daniel Bell-Drummond have signed extended contracts with the county.

The two south-east London-born 18-year-old prospects both impressed after making their first-class debut in 2011.

Left-arm seamer Ball, England's Under-19 captain, signed his first professional contract with Kent at just 16 and has signed a three-year deal.

Batsman Bell-Drummond, who ended the 2011 season opening the batting, has penned a two-year deal.

"These two lads have developed through the Kent cricket system," said Kent high performance director Simon Willis. "They have worked extremely hard and are an excellent example of what can be achieved through hard work and determination.

"I'm extremely pleased that they have extended their contracts and have the opportunity to develop and realise their potential as part of the Kent cricket squad."

"I am pleased to have the opportunity to study for my degree at the University of Kent, whilst remaining fully committed to the club for the next three years," said Ball.
