Leicestershire will not force James Taylor to stay
Leicestershire chief executive Mike Siddall says they will not force England Lions batsman James Taylor to stay if he is determined to leave.
The 21-year-old has a year left on his contract, and he has also been linked with Nottinghamshire.
Siddall told : "If James says to us that he wants to move on then we wouldn't stand in his way.
"We have offered James an extension. At the moment that hasn't been signed."
Taylor's Grace Road colleague from Leicestershire for next season.
