Pragyan Ojha spins Surrey to win over Northants
Slow left-armer Pragyan Ojha finished with bowling figures of 6-8 as Surrey kept their promotion hopes alive with victory over Northants at Northampton.
The Indian spinner's haul saw Northants, without the injured Stephen Peters, collapse from 103-4 overnight to 152 all out to lose by 333 runs.
Surrey's victory saw them close the gap on second-placed Northants to 23 points with a fixture in hand.
That is at Essex next week before both sides are at home in their final games.
Northants, the long-time Division Two leaders before being replaced by Middlesex this week, entertain Gloucestershire while Surrey host Derbyshire.
Stuart Meaker made the initial breakthrough for Surrey when he had Andrew Hall caught behind by Steven Davies after Northants had added 12 to their overnight total.
Ojha then took centre stage by claiming the final four wickets, starting with having Niall O'Brien caught sweeping at short leg by Gareth Batty to complete a pair.
He then bowled Lee Daggett, had James Middlebrook caught at silly point and trapped David Burton lbw to seal the win.
