Stephen Peters helps Northants build lead at Glamorgan
Stephen Peters completed his maiden first-class double century to help Division Two leaders Northants build a big lead against Glamorgan in Swansea.
Peters began the second day on 28, with his side 67-0, and put on 119 for the first wicket with Mal Loye (61).
He finished 204 not out after sharing an unbroken 138 for the fifth wicket with Andrew Hall (56no) as Northants closed on 434-4, a lead of 182.
when he removed Rob Newton.
In having Newton caught low down at cover, the 21-year-old became the youngest to reach the landmark for Glamorgan.
Peters reached his own milestone in the final over of the day, from 359 balls, with 21 fours, after nearly eight hours in the middle.
