Shivnarine Chanderpaul to join Warwickshire
West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul has agreed to join Warwickshire in July as the club's overseas player.
Chanderpaul, 36, will arrive at Edgbaston in around three weeks and will stay for the rest of the season.
The veteran of 130 Tests and 268 one-day internationals replaces Mohammad Yousuf, who played for the Bears during the early weeks of the campaign.
Chanderpaul has had previous spells in England with Durham and Lancashire.
Warwickshire's director of cricket Ashley Giles said: "It is universally acknowledged that Shiv is a class act and has proved his worth time after time at the highest level.
"Not only does he possess the qualities and talents that we are looking for in abundance, but he also comes with a reputation as a hard-working cricketer, a great character and a professional with a tremendous work ethic.
"We are delighted that he has agreed to join us for the vitally important final stages of our season."
