Nottinghamshire opener Neil Edwards has been ruled out for between four to six weeks with a broken wrist.
Edwards was hit on his right arm by Amjad Khan during on Wednesday and had to retire hurt.
Steven Mullaney was also hit on the jaw by a short ball from James Anyon but is expected to bat in the second innings.
Notts already have Charlie Shreck, Darren Pattinson and Andy Carter on the injured list.
