Connacht wing Matt Healy has signed a new two-year contract extension keeping him at the Sportsground in Galway until at least the summer of 2016.

The 23 year-old made his debut for the province against Leinster last season.

Healy, capped nine times for the Irish Under-20s, has played in all but two games this season, including Saturday's Heineken Cup win over Zebre.

"I'm enjoying working with Pat (Lam) and Connacht is an exciting place to be," said Healy.

Healy, who joined Connacht from the Lansdowne club in Dublin, scored tries against Zebre and Cardiff Blues in the opening rounds of the Pro12.

"I got the chance to come down here the summer before last and that was huge for me, so for Connacht to extend the opportunity really fills me with confidence," he added.
