Diamond League: Ones to watch in Eugene
Former Olympic and world champion Justin Gatlin, British hurlder Andy Turner, Paralympic sprint star Oscar Pistorius and South Africa's controversial world 800m champion Caster Semenya are among the big names in Oregon on Saturday.
1903 BST: Women's 400m hurdles
Olympic and world champion Melaine Walker of Jamaica takes on compatriot and world number one Kaliese Spencer in what promises to be a fascinating duel.
Perri Shakes-Drayton goes for Great Britain, looking to find the form that brought her a bronze medal at last year's European Championships in Barcelona.
1934 BST: Men's 110m hurdles
Liu Xiang caused a sensation in China last month when he won at Shanghai to end David Oliver's phenomenal unbeaten run which stretched to 20 races.
Xiang, the 2004 Olympic champion and 2007 world champion, looks to be over the foot injuries that have hampered him for the past three years but Oliver - who won here last year in an American record-equalling time of 12.90sec - will be intent on revenge.
Also in the high-class field is Britain's European and Commonwealth champion Andy Turner, who makes his first Diamond League appearance of the season.
1943 BST: Men's 400m
Double Olympic champion Jeremy Wariner was world number one last year and is a strong favourite here despite a high-class field which includes South Africa's 'blade runner' Oscar Pistorius, the multiple Paralympic world champion.
Former Olympic 400m hurdles champion Angelo Taylor was ranked 4th in the world last year in the 400m, just ahead of Great Britain's Michael Bingham who also competes in Eugene.
2006 BST: Women's 100m
Olympic and world champion Shelly-Ann Fraser goes head-to-head with last year's world number one Carmelita Jeter for the first time since 2009.
Fraser is one of three Jamaicans in the highly competitive field; world silver medallist Kerron Stewart and Olympic silver medallist Sherone Simpson also line up.
2015 BST: Men's 100m
Former Olympic and world champion Justin Gatlin makes a return to major competition after serving a four-year doping suspension.
Usain Bolt or Tyson Gay are not in Eugene but 2008 Olympic silver medallist Richard Thompson of Trinidad and Jamaicans Nesta Carter and Michael Frater will provide stiff competition.
This race does not count towards the season's Diamond League standings.
2021 BST: Women's 800m
World champion Caster Semenya continues her bid to rediscover her best form following the IAAF's gender investigation which kept her off the track for nearly a year.
Olympic champion Pamela Jelimo of Kenya and compatriot Janeth Jepkosgei should feature prominently, as should Kenia Sinclair of Jamaica. Britain's world number six Jemma Simpson also runs.
2046 BST: Bowerman Mile
Olympic 1500m champion and world number one Asbel Kiprop of Kenya defends his Bowerman mile crown. Compatriot Silas Kiplagat is likely to push him all the way, as is Amine Laalou of Morocco who was ranked no.2 in the world last year.
Caleb Ndiku of Kenya is another one to watch. Just 18 years old, the world junior champion ran the 1500m in 3min 32:02sec last weekend.
