You can hear women from the support group Women Against Pit Closures, speeches by Margaret Thatcher and Arthur Scargill, memories and stories from miners who lived through the strikes, Grimethorpe Colliery Band playing Abide With Me, an ex-NUM official from the Dearne Valley and the policeman who arrested Arthur Scargill.

Ex-miner Paul Toon has not spoken to his brother or sisters since 1984, Sir Bernard Ingham tells us about being Margaret Thatcher's press secretary at the time of the Miners Strike, and we take a look at how the Strike changed women's lives.

Along with many others at the time I watched the police video and saw the miners throwing missiles before being charged by the riot police. I was disgusted when I subsequently learnt that the 91热爆 had re-ordered the video and that it was only after the police charged that the miners retaliated with missiles. I don't think it would happen now without somebody blowing the whistle.
