:: Carbrook Ravine near SheffieldCarbrook Ravine is right at the heart of a residential area near the centre of Sheffield. It's a mix of woods, scrub and grasslands and it supports a rich variety of plants. Ecclesall Woods, Sheffield Volunteers can take part in skylark surveys, tree clearance and habitat maintenance for small mammals like voles. :: Potteric CarrPotteric Carr is two miles from Doncaster and is dissected by the east coast main line. Volunteers are always needed to work on the 500 acres of open water, reedbed and woodland. :: Art In The ParkMonthly events at Netherthorpe, Upperthorpe and Langsett using creative activities like photography, sculpture and juggling as a way to interact with each other and the local environment. :: BTCV - Practical Conservation VolunteersHands-on practical conservation projects whatever the weather. Badger :: Campaign To Protect Rural England (CPRE)The CPRE require a volunteer to help monitor and investigate planning applications in South Yorkshire. No experience is necessary as training will be provided. You must be willing to work without close supervision and be prepared to undertake some travel within the region. :: Friends Of Chapeltown and High Green ParksVolunteers are needed to help improve and maintain the condition of the parks, through regular litter picks and bulb and shrub planting in conjunction with local rangers.
