91热爆 Somerset goes FM

91热爆 Somerset is set to start transmitting on FM from December. Find out how can you can tune in here.

Listeners across Somerset will be able to listen to their own 91热爆 local radio station on 95.5FM from 3 December.

The change will bring a higher quality of signal and give the opportunity for most of the county to tune in.

The change also brings stereo broadcasting to 91热爆 Somerset's output. Previously the radio station broadcast only on AM with a poor signal performance meaning most potential listeners were unable to listen.

The station has been broadcasting on AM since its launch on 11 April 1988 and it is the last 91热爆 local radio station to broadcast on FM. It will continue to broadcast on 1566AM and is also available online at bbc.co.uk/somerset.

Listeners will be able to hear 91热爆 Somerset's weekday Breakfast, mid-morning and drivetime programmes, as well as news bulletins through the day - while at other times Radio Bristol's programmes will continue to be broadcast.

On weekends, 91热爆 Somerset produces a Saturday breakfast show and a Sunday Pick of the Week.

Some people will have a choice of 91热爆 local radio, with Radio Bristol and 91热爆 Somerset overlapping in certain areas. In Weston and North Somerset, listeners can tune into Radio Bristol on 94.9 and 103.6.
