Richard was originally in Minehead on 2 March 1964, directing John, Paul, George and Ringo in A Hard Day's Night.

91热爆 Somerset Sound's Tammy Amirthananthar met with the filmmaker in December 2006 on his return visit to the county.

Speaking about why he shot scenes in Somerset, Richard said: "Minehead sort of chose us really.

"We'd get on the train early in the morning from London and we'd travel down until it was time for lunch.

"We needed a place with a turntable to turn the train around so that we could travel back for the afternoon. Minehead had one in those days, so it just made sense."

Local schoolgirls, who originally mobbed the Fab Four during the filming of the time-warp memento of Beatlemania, also share their experiences in the documentary.

"It was just so exciting," said Mary Noble who was 16 at the time.

"The Beatles sat on the train and looked out the window at us. We just stared at them whilst screaming and crying - we loved it!"
