The band is now waiting for confirmation that their stunt has scooped them two Guinness World Records for highest concert and highest recording. As well as playing an intimate gig to two fans, vocalist Stephan Evannson and guitarist Joseph Short from The Girls recorded a new summer-tinged track, What I Did Today. The band was also accompanied by the one-off 6,000 ft Propane Ensemble - a lineup of top musicians, including Portishead's drummer Clive Deamer and Andrew "Mushroom" Vowles, formerly of Massive Attack. Stephan Evannson from The Girls said: "This was incredibly nerve-racking, but we're all really happy with the song. "We love doing unorthodox things with our music, so taking ourselves and our mates out of the studio and into the sky was a great creative challenge. "A lot of musicians talk about how they've broken records, but that's just hot air to us!"
