Who is Bugs? I'm a singer/songwriter, and I play the guitar. Where in Somerset are you from? Frome How long have you been a musician? I've been writing and recording my own material for 25 years! How would you describe your music? Dark, brooding, reflective, English rock How did you get your name? It's my nickname. Who are your musical influences? The Stranglers, The Who, The Doors, Editors, Joy Division, Lou Reed, Burt Bacharach, Vaughan Williams, Killing Joke, Kaiser Chiefs, Julian Cope and Romeo Void What is your most memorable gig so far? The Cheese and Grain in Frome - great atmosphere, great turnout, great gig! Where would you most like to play? Glastonbury main stage please! Finally, tell us some interesting facts about yourself I was born in London, grew up in Surrey, but I've been based in Frome for the past 12 years. I write and record original material in my home studio - The Padded Cell, playing all the instruments myself - drums, guitar, bass and vocals. I've just completed a new album called Devolution. |
