Where in Somerset are you from? Bath When did you form? January 2005 How did you get together? We met at Bath Spa University, where we all study commercial music. How would you describe your music? Acoustic, jazz-styled pop How did the band gets its name? Oriole is from a song lyric written by Sophie - it's from the song You Should Know. Who are your musical influences? There are far too many to mention, but we sound a lot like Carole King, Aimee Mann, Amy Winehouse and Norah Jones. What is your most memorable gig so far? In Brighton, at the Joogleberry Playhouse - Sophie's homecoming gig. There was a fantastic atmosphere and we went down really well. Where would you most like to play? On an island in the Caribbean. There doesn't have to be anyone there, we just really need a holiday.
