Who are Bosh? David Griffiths on guitar and lead vocals, Mike Griffiths on drums, James Grant on bass guitar, Matt Gainsford on guitar and backing vocals, and Grant Howard on keys. Where in Somerset are you from? Taunton (and Bournemouth) When did you form? In 1997 How did you get together? Dave and Mike are brothers, James joined two years ago, and Matt joined in the Easter of 2004 after the previous guitarist left the band. How would you describe your music? Guitar-driven rock with a prog edge, and melodic riff-based music with a strong lyrical focus. Uncompromising messages of hope, truth and freedom. How did the band gets its name? From the Edward Lear poem Hieronymus Bosch, which David read when he was 10. Who are your musical influences? Blur, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Graham Coxon, Foo Fighters What is your most memorable gig so far? Too many to mention. We've played gigs in Cheddar (where there were power outages), and gigs in Taunton at Vivary Park. We also played at St James Church in Taunton on 9 January 2005, which was for a Taunton Youth for Christ event called Powerstation. This was overwhelming - everything just came together. Where would you most like to play? We'd most like to play in the Royal Albert Hall in London, Red Rocks in the States, and Glastonbury Festival. Finally, tell us some interesting facts about yourself Matt is Canadian - by passport not birth, Dave is taller than most, James wears slippers everywhere, and Mike is visited in the night by a grease pig called Percy who causes skin problems, although Percy hasn't visited in a while. |
