Dealing with abuse from colleagues
A new study into the experiences of women MPs has found what the author describes as “shocking”levels of sexist abuse levelled at them by some of their male counterparts.
Some of the behaviour includesjuggling imaginary breasts to put off female MPs when they are speaking, and accusing them of sleeping their way to the top.
Jenni explores the report’s findings with Anne Widdecombe MP,Margaret Moran MP for Luton South and Joni Lovenduski, Professor of politics at Birkbeck College, University of London.
