Is the health service doing enough?
There are about eight hundred people a year in the UK who suffer severe spinal injuries causing many of them to have some paralysis and to use a wheelchair.

The Spinal Injuries association believes that the health service is failing many of them, especially the women. It believes not enough emphasis is placed on counselling into how their disability will after their relationships and sex. Few health workers are prepared to discuss these issues and it's left to individuals to try and understand the changes in their life.

There's also evidence that more attention is placed on how men will cope with their sexual relationships than women. Jenny Bardwell went to meet Judith Crowe who spends much of her time in a wheelchair after an accident ten years ago.
