Why women should take the risk of a stroke more seriously

New research says that women may be seriously underestimating their risk of having a stroke.

It's the cause of 13% of female deaths, and there are almost double as many women suffering a stroke each year than there are new cases of breast cancer.Ìý

Dr Pippa Tyrrell , senior lecturer in stroke medicine at Hope Hospital and Andrea Elson who suffered a stroke six years ago - talk about why women, particularly young women, still believe a stroke is nothing to fear.Ìý
