Wilkie Collins' haunting Victorian thriller becomes a musical

Adapting a well-loved book for television or stage is always a risky venture. Turning one into a musical is even more fraught. Andrew Lloyd Webber's latest production is based on the The Woman in White , the Victorian novel by Wilkie Collins.

Sonia Friedman, producer of the new musical discusses withÌýMartha how the classic thriller has been adapted for the modern stage.Ìý

Catherine Peters, author of a ÌýWilkie Collins' biography, The King of InventorsÌý and novelist, A L Kennedy joinÌýMartha andÌýSoniaÌýto explore how the author used his novels to highlight the problems of women in Victorian society.
