WillÌýchanges in dealing with cases bring more convictions?

Rape is the least likely of all violent crime to be reported and prosecuted, and when it is prosecuted it's also the least likely to result in a conviction. Last year under 7% of reported rapes resulted in a conviction.
Woman's Hour hears the story ofÌý'Karen' who says that she failed to get justice from the courts.Ìý

And on the dayÌýSolicitor General, Harriet Harman announces changes to the way women and men reporting rape are dealt with by the criminal justice system, Jenni asks her about her plans to ensure there is justice for all.Ìý
