Ìý Gender gap in education 26ÌýMay 2004 Ìý
Why do more women go to university than men?

We're used to hearing about boys' under achievement at school but now the gender gap in education is being seen at a higher level. Over the last decade women have made up more than 70% of the increase in university students. So what's happening to the men?

Jenni is joined by Professor Philip Brown from Cardiff University and Louise Archer from the Insitute of Policy Studies in Education to discuss why more women are going on to higher education than men and the impact this may have.
