Ìý What so good about nettles? 02ÌýApr 2004 Ìý
'Tis the season to pick nettles. But why would anyone bother with the underrated nettle? Well, hold off your weeding until you've listened to Woman's Hour because nettles make excellent plant food and can even be cooked with lamb.

But how do you pick them? We sent Fiona Clampin out with a nettle-picker for Cornish Yarg cheese which is wrapped in nettles to find out.

And chef and food editor Katy Rogers and Mick Sharpe, founder of be nice to Nettles week join Martha to talk about the versatile nettle.
