Ìý Rwandan coffee widows 10 Mar 2004 Ìý
Image: Gemima Mukashayaka
You won't have heard of 25 year old Gemima Mukashayaka but you may have seen her face as she's pictured on packets of fairtrade coffee from Rwanda sold in this country.

After the genocide of ten years ago Gemima, along with hundreds of thousands of other women, had to learn to survive without a family and work on the land to earn her living. She joined a coffee-growing co-operative which not only guarantees her a fair income, but also provides her with a community in which to share her experiences with other survivors of the atrocities.

Gemima and the Rwandan Ambassador to the UK, Rosemary Museminali join Jenni to talk about women's efforts to rebuild the country.
