Annette Quinlan has endured 19 miscarriages in her desperate quest to have a child. With the help of a new drug being developed at Liverpool Women's Hospital she's finally given birth to Niamh.
The drug suppresses killer cells which occur naturally in the body; it's believed they trigger miscarriages in some women. So far Annette is the only woman in the world to have the treatment, but it's due to get wider medical trials to see if more women would benefit.
Dr Siobhan Quenby and Ruth Bender Atik, director of the Miscarriage Alliance join Jenni to discuss. For more information call the 91Èȱ¬ Actionline on 0800 044 044
