Many families left behind after their husbands and fathers were shot at dawn.
Gertrude Farr was so ashamed that her husband Harry had been executed for cowardice she told no one. Now her grand-daughter is campaigning for him to be given a pardon.
In the run up to Remembrance Sunday, Janet Booth and Julian Putkowski join Sheila to discuss how women were affected when they found themselves widowed, alone and ashamed.
